On the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
On the road again
Goin' places that I've never been
Seein' things that I may never see again,
And I can't wait to get on the road again.
- Willie Nelson
There! How many missionary newsletters have you read that started out by quoting Willie Nelson?! Now, if you will stop humming the song above, I will give you our update.
I write this newsletter a few days early as we are indeed "on the road again".
We are flying out to Seattle Washington to continue our support raising efforts. We will also have a chance to visit with Marti's brother Jon who lives out there. We are looking forward to this trip.
We have covered a lot of territory the past several weeks and head into one of our busiest months of travel. Although we have been very busy (we have visited 40 churches in the past 50 weeks) with support raising, our support level has not increased much the past couple of months. With a goal of departing for Kenya in September, we really need to see the rest of our support come in by the end of June. SO, please pray. We are not discouraged, but we do feel some heaviness as there are many decisions to make if the support is not in by June 30th. All we need is support pledges, even if support can not start until later in the year or even January 2005. Again, please pray.
For those of you "new" to our updates, I will invite you to follow our journey by visiting our Blog (web-log, or diary) at http://missionsafari.typepad.com.
By the way, just so you know that we have a "life" other than missions, we will be busy this month with sight-seeing in Seattle, baseball games for Ben, ballet recitals for Sarah, a trip to the Zoo, and a homeschool conference in North Carolina.
Praises
1. We had an excellent and refreshing vacation in the mountains of Tennessee.
2. We have truly enjoyed "re-connecting" with some friends this month.
3. The details for the training program in Family Medicine in Kenya continues to move forward.
4. I am now a "certified" ALSO Instructor. This will be extremely useful in Kenya.

1. For churches and individuals to make decisions to support us.
2. For continued travel mercies.
