Sarah's Birthday Present
Here is Sarah with one of her birthday presents. No, we did not buy her a cheetah. But, at her request, we took her to the Nairobi Animal Orphanage. While we were there, the volunteers were letting adults come into the cheetah cage to pet the cheetahs. They usually did not allow children to pet them, but when we told them it was Sarah’s 12th birthday, they were happy to let her pet the cheetahs. It was pretty cool!

Happy Birthday to Sarah! What an indelible memory she will have by spending her birthday at an animal orphanage in Kenya.
Since we heard that she likes to bless others by writing encouraging verses on index cards to people, we mailed some rainbow colored index cards to her just today. Wanted to send more stuff, but want to make sure this package gets through ok. They said it will take about 4 weeks, though.

Perhaps Sarah can write a book of her adventures while in Kenya.
Many would be blessed by it!

I was really moved by the Valentine letter to your wife! What great words. Made me go directly to my wife to tell her how much I love her and how fitting the words of Solomon are . . especailly when I read it in "The Message" . . . thanks for sharing. A blessing! Jim
